Importing data from other sourcesPostCast can import and use data even if you already have them in another format, if you are using them from other applications, or if your data are placed in a CGI script log file. Select the 'Import data' option from the Tools menu to start the Import Data wizard. If you are using Access database If your existing database is of the Access type, there is no need to import data from it, since PostCast works with the Access database by default. Simply enter its path, and leave the rest to the program. Data format Almost every database program has an Export option. Use it to export your database to the text file. In order to insert your existing tables and data into PostCast, make sure they are written in text file first. Here is what it could look like: "Last Name","First Name","Company","Street","City","Country" "Johnson","Rick","Advanced Communications","10235 Panorama Ave","Portland OR 97233","USA" "Smith","George","HLS Designs","28935 Baker St","Sacramento 95820","USA" PostCast supports all qualifier and delimiter types, and it can import column names if they had been defined in the first text line. You may also use advanced filters to exclude the unwanted data during the import. Read Exercise 2: Import data from the text files for more information.
