What is the project? The PostCast project defines a set of files which contain all your settings within the program. The project consists of the basic file having a .poc extension, as well as of the files found in a separate folder. Why are projects necessary? Suppose that you have set up the program in such a way as to send messages using your client list from the database, and that you also want a simultaneously set program for sending Newsletters. Instead of entering different signature parameters, e-mail address, mail server and recipients' lists manually every time in turn, you will rather have two different projects. Set up the program for various use and save projects using different names. This would enable you to simply load the required project instead of entering data over and over again. PostCast project structure If you had saved your project as Project1.poc, the files within your project will be saved in the Project1 folder, which the program will create automatically. Other required files will be recorded therein as well. Project transfer Should there be any need to transport PostCast projects, make sure that you activate the Project1.poc file as well as the entire Project1 folder, which can be found in the same folder in the very folder wherein you had saved the Project1.poc file. Recent project files PostCast keeps the locations of the last five projects wherein you have worked in your Recent project file list. Every time you create a new project or open an existing one, PostCast will update the recent project list. Those that have been used most recently will head the list. You have several options at your disposal to access this option: - initially i.e. when you start the program, you may select a recent project from the Project Dialog. This option can be accessed from the 'View/Project Dialog' menu. - there is an 'Open' button in the toolbar. Click the arrow to the right of button. A drop down project list will open up. Should you select a project, the program will load it automatically. - select the 'Open Recent' option from the File menu and a new project list will appear.
