How to use SchedulerIn order to be able to use the PostCast Scheduler, it would be necessary for you to define at least one event. This can be done if you click the 'New' button from the toolbar. The table containing the list of defined events has the following columns: ID - event consecutive number Project - the name of the project to be loaded in PostCast Schedule - event startup time Action - action to be taken by PostCast after startup Last Run - time and date when the event was last started Activating and deactivating the Scheduler The Scheduler is inactive i.e. it does not execute events nor does it follow the time flow as long as you have not yet started it. The easiest way to do this is by clicking the Start button from the toolbar. Once it is done, each event will be executed in its defined time. In order to stop the Scheduler, click the Stop button from the toolbar. Useful if you want to edit existing events, define new ones, etc. Start the Scheduler automatically along with the computer Once you set up those events that would do the job for you, you may completely neglect the Scheduler. It would not require your intervention to do its job properly. Select 'Place Scheduler in Windows StartUp group' from the File menu and the Scheduler will be started along with the computer. Run Scheduler at startup Once started, the Scheduler will automatically be active and it will follow the time flow as well as execute events if this option is selected. In order to do it, select 'Run Scheduler at startup' from the File menu. Minimize the Scheduler at startup
Select this option to hide the Scheduler at work. Its icon will be present at your task bar and you will be able to access it by left clicking the icon. If you right mouse click you would be able to select the following options: Start Scheduler, Suspend Scheduler, Restore, Minimize, and Close. |
